We are able to submit refunds on the stores behalf, but they take about 30 days to process.
- The fastest way to get the cardholder their money is to process a return through the register.
- If a return is not possible, the next best option, is to advise the cardholder to dispute the charge with their bank.
Providing a cash refund to the customer is not advised. If a cardholder is given cash, there is no "proof" of the refund, therefore the cardholder could also dispute the charge with the bank getting their money back twice and the store getting hit with two refunds.
